Our Story

Built by a mom who counted the days until her back stopped hurting

Cradle & Cove started in a Chicago apartment with a six-week-old, a $300 structured carrier, and a lower back that gave out by 10 a.m. every day. Every carrier on the market seemed built for a nursery photo — not for a body that had just given birth.

So our founder started sketching. Working with physical therapists and a small studio of babywearing educators, she spent three years refining a single idea: a sling shaped around the same curled, C-spine position your baby held for nine months, distributing weight up and in instead of down and out.

The result is one product, made well, in fabric soft enough to fall asleep in — for both of you.

The Ergonomics

Designed around two positions that matter most

Every Cradle & Cove sling is built around your baby's natural C-spine curve and the hip-healthy M-position pediatric associations recommend.

Natural C-curve support

Cradles your baby's spine in the same rounded curl held in the womb, instead of forcing it flat.

Hip-healthy M-position

Knees supported above hips in the spread-squat position recommended for healthy hip development.

Even weight distribution

Weight rides higher and closer to your center of gravity, easing pressure off your lower back.

Breathable fabric

Temperature-regulating, four-way stretch cotton keeps you both comfortable in any season.

One-handed adjustable fit

A single sliding buckle lets you tighten or loosen the fit in seconds — even mid-nap.

Newborn to toddler

One sling grows with your baby, comfortably supporting 8–35 lbs.

“My newborn actually sleeps in this thing. She fusses in every other carrier we own.”

Priya S. Verified buyer

“Folds into my diaper bag's side pocket. I liked it so much I keep a second one in the car.”

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The sling's C-curve pouch is designed for newborns 8 lbs and up, keeping baby's hips and spine in a pediatrician-recommended position from their very first ride.

8–35 lbs — from newborn through active toddler, typically 0–3 years.

Machine wash cold on the gentle cycle and hang to dry. Avoid the dryer — air drying keeps the fabric's stretch and softness intact for years.
